Our first CLUB LUAH Wellness Day in Shanghai!

Charming Shanghai: A Summer Soirée was our first step into Mainland China. Two weeks, one city, and a community we were very excited to begin to know and meet!

Started the celebrations with a Saturday night Launch Party. Which meant, Sunday morning was for a little recovery.

Everything started with the venue, and it set the scene perfectly. Hidden just off Pudong Avenue in the middle of Shanghai's Financial District — you walk through the right door, and a 120-year old brick and stone boutique hotel appears seemingly out of nowhere. An out-of-place hidden gem that makes the bustle of the city feel far away.

We woke up on Sunday to a very rainy morning. Before the first guest arrived, the team was scrambling to get a tarp over the courtyard. Not exactly the serene setup we had imagined — but by the time people started filing in, mats were laid out and drinks were on ice. The rain had become part of the atmosphere, no longer the problem we had faced mere 45 minutes ago!

Tracy's Bodycombat session opened the morning with intensity. At least one of the LUAH Co-Founders — who shall remain nameless 😉 — had significantly underestimated what he had signed up for. Let's just say, by the end, everyone in that courtyard had earned their refreshments.

Mickey's Pilates sessions came next. The rain settled into a steady rhythm against the tarp overhead. It ended up being such a tranquil soundtrack. Guess there really is a certain beauty in the moments we couldn't plan for.

Whether you were with us at the Launch Party Saturday night or took part in the sweat on Sunday morning — thank you for being part of our first chapter in Shanghai. Our favorite moments below. 🤍
