Shanghai Strolls, Vol. 2: Matcha, Side Streets, and Silver

If Vol. 1 was about finding the light, Vol. 2 was about finding the best matcha soft serve in the French Concession. We have no regrets about the order of priorities.

The brief for the day was simple: green. Not just in the jewelry — in everything. The shirts, the knits, the walls, the traffic lights catching us mid-crossing.

It came together the way the best shoot days do: one good street led to another.

The style — a green overshirt worn open over a white tee, black denim shorts, white crew socks and sneakers. The kind of look that succeeds in its simplicity and flow.

For her, a green sleeveless turtleneck tucked into white raw-hem bermuda shorts, finished with black boots. The same color, but with a sharper edge.

The silver told the story on this one. At his neck, the Wishbone Charm on the Emory Bold Box Chain — understated but specific, the kind of piece that sits right whether the shirt is buttoned or not. A Snake Chain on the wrist, nothing more needed.

Her stack went in a different direction. The Rhys White Sapphire Charm on the Barley Green Agate Necklace, layered with the Elo Chunky Link Chain worn as a choker — silver and green working together in a way that felt almost accidental. On her hands, six rings, the Myla and Nala Dome Rings doing most of the talking.

The French Concession has a pace to it — unhurried, tree-lined, the kind of neighborhood where you don't mind getting a little lost.
