Most guys don’t need more jewelry. They just need to know how to wear it. A simple bracelet or necklace can completely change the way an outfit looks. The hardest part isn’t buying the pieces, it's knowing what works well together.
That’s why we get asked the same handful of questions, over and over, by LUAH customers. What chain goes with this pendant? How do you actually wear a necklace so it doesn’t just sit there? Bold bracelet or thin one? Do my rings need to match?
The truth is, wearing jewelry is a lot simpler than people think. There aren't many rules. Once you know the basics, building a collection that works together becomes easy.
So we put everything in one place. Save it, and come back every time you're unsure, or want to add something new to your collection.
How Do You Choose the Right Chain for a Pendant?
A chain and pendant work best when they're chosen together instead of separately. A finer piece like our Tag Charm Black Onyx pendant gets lost on a heavy chain, and a bolder piece like the Zary Black Onyx Medallion looks thin and unbalanced on something too fine. Let the pendant’s size set the chain’s thickness.

Length matters just as much, since where the pendant sits changes the whole look.

What Chain Thickness Is Best for Your Build?
Chain thickness works in proportion to your frame. A finer link like our Emory Bold Box Chain that looks good on a leaner build disappears on a broader one. Something with more presence, like the Elo Chunky Link Necklace, holds up better on a bigger frame.
Layering more than one necklace? Vary the lengths and mix in some texture. That keeps each piece visible instead of letting them blend into one another.

Should You Mix Gold and Silver Tones?
Yes, and it doesn’t need overthinking. Let one metal lead, usually whichever tone makes up most of your existing pieces, and use the other as a smaller accent: a single ring, a bracelet clasp. What actually clashes isn’t mixed metals, it’s mixed finishes of the same brightness sitting next to each other. A brushed piece next to a high-polish piece in a different tone reads as intentional. Two high-polish pieces in different tones side by side reads as an accident.
Bold or Thin: How Should You Choose Men's Bracelet?
Bracelets are usually the easiest place to start with jewelry, no pendant or length to think about. Thinner pieces like the Essential Round Box Chain Bracelet stack well and pair with a watch. Something bolder, like the Utah Gold Men's Stack, works best worn alone, or with one lighter piece for contrast. Two bold bracelets together compete instead of complementing each other.

How Do You Stack Bracelets Without Looking Cluttered?
Pick one clear focal point. If you’re stacking a few pieces, let one be the statement and keep the rest in support. A watch you already wear naturally becomes that anchor, so everything else stays lighter. Fit matters here too: enough room to turn the bracelet comfortably, not so much that it’s sliding around all day.
Should You Wear One Ring or Stack Multiple?
One bold ring often does more than five thin ones. If you want to keep things simple, a single strong piece makes the statement on its own, no stacking required.
Fit matters most with rings, regardless of what you wear. Get sized properly, ideally later in the day when your fingers are at their largest, so the fit holds up no matter the time of day. Starting out? A Maeve Chunky Texture Ring or Ivy Chunky Dome Ring on your dominant hand is a great starting point.

Stacking a few? Spread them across different fingers rather than piling several onto one. Mix shapes, like the Rya Fluted Ring next to a thicker band, instead of matching every ring exactly.

Does It All Need to Be Worn Together?
It's entirely up to you.
